Using Odin for completing this task is easy and you will be able to safely perform the steps from below in less than a minute.
But before starting the proper guide, you first have to take care of the pre requisites. These are a few tasks that must be applied before doing anything else. In this way you can prepare your phone and other things that are being required on the root process. Without completing these steps you will not be able to achieve root access on your Galaxy S4 Mini I9195.
  • Backup your data; even though it is unlikely to lose your data when using Odin, don’t forget that this is a root process which isn’t official. So, in rare cases you might end up with corrupted or even erased data.
  • Due to same reasons, use backup and restore apps and save everything that you might need afterwards including EFS folder, market apps, contacts list, call logs, text messages, internet settings and personal or private data, info and accounts.
  • You will need to use a computer, your smartphone and its USB cable because a connection between your devices will have to be established.
  • On your S4 Mini USB debugging option must be checked (go to menu – settings – developer options) or else you won’t be able to properly set the mentioned connection.
  • On your computer you need to deactivate or disable the antivirus, antimalware and any other security protection – only temporarily, or else you might have problems while trying to gain root access.
  • If on your phone the battery level is showing less power than 60%, before doing anything else plug in the charger – if your device gets turned off in the middle of the root process, it can get damaged.
  • This tutorial should be applied only by those who own the LTE model of the Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini. Furthermore your device should be running on Android XXUBNB3 OS – go to menu – settings – about phone – software version in order to check for the same.
  • Using the root process on different conditions will probably make you brick your Android device.
